A woman has friends write “Si se puede” on a UFW flag she’s wearing before the 17th Annual Cesar Chavez Pilgrimage and Celebration. Over 100 students, citizens and local organization members met at the Pomona Unified School District Building at 9:30 a.m. in front of a tree that is said to be over 300 years old. Joined by representatives from AIM, NAACP, UFCW, M.e.ch.a clubs from Mt. Sac and Pomona high schools, and other community leaders; they walked to Garey High School protesting for farm worker and immigrant rights.
